I started working in hospitality before going into Real Estate, then I was a Nanny. How I got into Real Estate was from a friend, he was a Lawyer + did some conveyancing work. While I was helping him, I became interested in Real Estate.
I felt starting out in hospitality has helped me in my Real Estate career. It taught me how to handle phone calls with my landlords and tenants. When I started in Real Estate, I started in Administration and worked my way to being a Property Manager. I did Leasing, showing prospective tenants through the properties. I was a Relief Manager, this entailed all roles in Real Estate. Then I became a Property Manager assistant, which gave me the love of being a Property Manager.
Being a Property Manager has its challenges. Like all jobs, not one day is the same. I have been in this industry for over 16yrs.
